About Education For Madagascar
Lifting children and young people out of poverty is our main objective, through Education. Education For Madagascar is a registered Charity in England and Wales, an official association loi 1901 in France and a NGO registered in Madagascar. We are celebrating our 5th anniversary focusing on 3 main areas - Education - Health - Conservation Facts and figures : on 3 sites : Ambohibe Antananarivo, Andabatoara Morondava, West Anjozorobe, Fort Dauphin, South 756 children in care 235 women enrolled 47 volunteers 14 projects 6 villages We currently run 14 projects: School Tutoring University sponsorship Language and cultural exchange with international schools CARE Coding Application Robotics Education, Career Day Awareness Arts: music, chess, cooking Multimedia library Health center Tomady Nutrition School For Women Permaculture Tree planting project water supply project Akka Montessori school (early childhood) 90% of our beneficiary students come from underprivileged families. Our sponsored educators study at different schools in the city such as : ISCAM, Votovorona Polytechnic School, Felix School, Antananarivo Nursing School, Ankatso University Medical School, IESSI (Institut d’Enseignement Supérieur de Soavinandriana Itasy, INTH Institut National de Tourisme et d’hôtellerie) We are now considering a new step in developing our activities, with the creation of our future social enterprise, to offer job opportunities for those young adults : - IT Outsourcing and why not an app development. - Carpentry - Sewing - Agro-ecology and creation of food forest - Tourism and personal services - International trade
