About Educational Playcare
Educational Playcare, a leader in high-quality childcare in Connecticut since 1986 has been awarded the 2016 Top Workplaces honor by The Hartford Courant. We are extremely proud to have gained this honor and we hope to continue to merit this honor in future years as well! Today, the importance of positive childhood experiences, starting from infancy, and their relation to future success in life is universally understood. It wasn't so when we began in 1986. When we originally selected the name "Educational Playcare", it was because of our understanding of the importance of play in order for learning to take place. We also knew the importance of providing a nurturing, secure, joyful and stimulating environment. Children learn best through direct experience. We believe that this direct experience is best gained through play, for play is the work of children. It is through play that children develop concepts about themselves and the world around them. Our goal is to provide the ideal environment to support the "work" of children. Educational Playcare was established in 1986 to provide full and part-time childcare and educational programs for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old. We are proud of our reputation as the provider of the highest-quality childcare, nursery school, and preschool programs for children that can be found anywhere. We've distinguished ourselves by providing exceptional services through being consistently at the cutting edge of technology as it applies to the early childhood industry and we've maintained these high standards with the quality control that comes from being owner operated. Despite our relatively small size, however, we are still able to offer all of the benefits of the large "corporate" child care centers and more! It has been our privilege to provide childcare services to thousands of families in Connecticut. In fact, some of our previous students have come back to work for us and help nurture the next generation!
