About Educators Republic

We are a collective of designers, artists and educators who have identified a need to support the difference in education and student need. Visual arts education has a very different focus and preparedness in western institutions. We aim to support and better prepare students coming to the UK, Europe and the USA from China. We believe the differences in teaching and learning around the world should be celebrated we should encourage east and west philosophies to be shared, experienced, and used by everyone. Rethinking student practice, deconstructing methods and ways of thinking and working, including new and different modes of working even changing the student mindset and modus is essential for personal development. We focus on preparedness, preparing students for academic rigour from both east and west perspectives. The end goal should not be just getting a place at university but to thrive and flourish when students are on their ideal course at the university of their choice.
