About Eduvika Association
Eduvika is a non-profit organization committed to advancing inclusive, engaging, and purpose-driven learning and networking experiences. It was founded by Mrittika Dreesha-Sharifpour, an emerging scholar who has received numerous institutional, provincial, and federal-level scholarships and awards, and who currently serves in multiple professional roles as a PhD student, Course Instructor, Social Science Researcher, and GSA Board Director at the University of Waterloo. The name Eduvika reflects its mission by combining the concept of “education with a collective vision” and the ending of the founder’s first name. Through carefully designed academic, career-focused, and community-based initiatives, Eduvika brings together undergraduate and graduate students, industry professionals, and change-makers from diverse sectors to foster meaningful learning opportunities, facilitate authentic connection-building, promote the ethical integration of AI in education, and expand access to academic and career development pathways. Eduvika was officially incorporated on June 11, 2025, under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act by Corporations Canada, a federal body within Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, which is part of the Government of Canada. This incorporation marks a significant milestone in Eduvika’s growth and represents the official beginning of a new chapter. Through the workshops and events, Eduvika aims to advance mentorship, collaborative research, and innovation across various sectors, including the rapidly evolving AI landscape. Our broader purpose is to empower learners to become leaders by equipping them with the skills, networks, and resources needed to thrive in both educational and professional environments.
