About Edwards YMCA Camp
Camp Edwards is a traditonal co-ed summer camp and year round retreat center hosting over 12,000 campers annually through a variety of programs including summer camp, day camp, family camp, weekend retreats and Environmental Education outings. Since 1929, Camp Edwards has been striving to instill leadership charactersitcs for all of our campers, as well as providing a relaxing and family focused atmosphere for all of out guests. The camp sits on 132 acres of woodlands, prairie, and lakefront on Lake Beulah. We offer a traditional summer camp experience offering skills such as sailing, kayaking, wilderness survival, archery, drama, land sports and more. Our Environmental Education programs offer overnight and day trips to schools in the MIlwaukee and Chicago areas. All of our curriculum offerings are tied to the state standards in IL and WI. However, we hosts schools from Iowa as well. We tailor the program to fit the needs of the school, and partner with outside vendors to provide hands on education with reptiles, birds of prey, and water education. Our weekend groups opportunities are a great way to enjoy the natural surroundings of the camp with recreational programming or simply a place to provide quiet reflection. Father and son/daughter trips, church retreats, or any other organized group can contact us for a great, hassle-free weekend to fit your needs.
