Efficient Frontier Recruitment "EFR" was established in September 2004 and is a niche recruitment outfit that exclusively recruits in the South African investment industry. EFR is owner-managed and operated by Deon Brenner, a CFA Charterholder, with six years front-office experience in the financial markets and more than fifteen years' investment industry recruitment experience. EFR's philosophy to recruitment is based on the premise that Investment Banking and Asset Management are highly specialised fields within the wider financial services industry and unlike general financial services recruitment, it requires a specialist recruiter with a thorough understanding of the underlying theory/principles and jargon & technical terms, as well as an understanding of the different industry players and what the working environment is like, in order to accurately interpret CV's and job specifications and ultimately, to effectively match candidates with vacancies. Given Deon's industry experience and academic grounding, he is able to communicate at the same level as clients and candidates in this specialist field, which makes the recruitment process less frustrating and more efficient.
