About EFORT

Welcome to EFORT, the platform organisation linking Europe‘s national orthopaedic associations! EFORT aims to reflect the will of all the participating associations to promote the exchange of scientific knowledge and experience in the field of prevention, both in the conservative and surgical treatment of diseases and injuries concerning the musculo-skeletal system. EFORT is a non-profit organisation and is established as a pan-European partner for international organisations, authorities, universities, industry, scientific bodies and professional and patient organisations in the field of musculoskeletal disease and trauma. EFORT organises a European Annual Congress, Experts meet Experts (ExMEx) meetings and Instructional Courses (ICs). EFORT arranges travelling and visiting fellowships, where the different national associations alternate in hosting a group of young orthopaedic surgeons. EFORT promotes the exchange of experience, knowledge, education and research throughout Europe by: • Representation of state-of-the-art orthopaedics and musculoskeletal traumatology in Europe. • Promotion of research, science and training in orthopaedics and traumatology in Europe. • Exchange of scientific experience and knowledge and the improvement of education and training. • Formulation of EFORT standards and guidelines for the various areas of activity pursued by our members.
