The establishment of the Egyptian Health Council marks a significant step towards improving the healthcare system in Egypt. In this context, Law No. 12 of 2022 was passed to establish the Egyptian Health Council as a public service entity with legal personality, directly reporting to the Presidency. The law applies to all graduates of health-related faculties, including those of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physiotherapy, nursing, veterinary medicine, and other health fields as determined by decisions from the Prime Minister. The Egyptian Health Council replaces the Egyptian Authority for Compulsory Training of Physicians, which was established by Resolution No. 210 of 2016. The council will be managed by the Board of Trustees, the Board of Directors, and the Executive President.
