About Eighth Collective

Eighth Collective is a space for women survivors of abuse and harassment to work through the tricky stuff that comes with survival. It’s a place to be open and messy and for healing to happen through action and not just talking. In our workshops, we use Muay Thai, yoga and breath-work because we know from experience that trauma affects your body as well as your mind. When you learn to throw a punch, you’re also learning to set boundaries. When you learn to breathe through discomfort, you’re learning how to look after your own body. When you’re learning all of this with women, and those who identify as women, who’ve been through the same thing as you, you’re building a community and you’re learning to trust again. We know this stuff is tricky and everyone’s healing is on a different timeline. Our workshops aren’t a replacement for therapy or all the really important care that needs to happen when you’re right in the eye of the storm. Eighth Collective is here for when the dust settles and you’re ready to get back to living your life. We’re here for when you’re ready to reclaim your power. We’re kicking trauma’s ass together.
