About El Rio Foundation
The El Rio Foundation is the charity arm of El Rio Hostel, Buritaca. We provide educational, wellbeing, peace-building and environmental programmes to positively impact our local community; a post-conflict zone on the North Caribbean coast of Colombia. https://www.youtube.com/@elriofoundation2492/playlists - Please click on the link to see video introductions to our lead community programmes for 2024-25. Thanks to the support of our funding partners, hostel guests, crowd-funders and the hostel itself, we now provide education and joy to 600+ children every week 😊 We are extremely proud that El Rio Hostel was named Community hero best hostel in the world by Hostelworld in 2024.
