In 1905 the founder of the company, Francisco Tejedor García, began to produce the sobrasada de Mallorca, a typical sausage of the island. Since then, the Tejedor family has continued to produce this product, which currently bears the „SOBRASADA DE MALLORCA“ Protected Geographical Indication label. EL ZAGAL is a family business that is always managed by the Tejedor family and is currently in its fourth generation. Sobrasada de Mallorca EL ZAGAL is a smoked pork sausage seasoned with paprika, which gives it a characteristic red colour, and because the meat is finely chopped, the sausage has a fine and creamy consistency. The company has modern production facilities and its own laboratory, which enables us to strictly control both the raw materials and all production processes.
