About Elara Cables

Elara Cables Ltd. were founded in late 2023 by Chris Naylor and Rob Howard. Primarily a design consultancy specialising in high-voltage cables we aim to deliver quality cable routes and system designs as efficiently as possible. We specialise in risk management and identifying opportunities for design optimisation throughout all stages of design from conception through delivery. Our services offered include; cable corridor option studies, cable route option studies, cable route alignment studies, support with general project development including planning applications, compulsory purchase process, production of specifications, feed into relevant environmental papers, cable system design studies including conceptual design, cable sizing and thermal rating studies, systems electrical design, drawing production, mechanical design, reporting, risk management, tender evaluation and compliance assessment. We also have strategic partnerships in place to assist with the wider engineering disciplines usually required on underground cable schemes including civil design, structural design, geotechnical engineering, planning and environmental.
