About Elastic Mint
In 2018 a group of software contractors were becoming disillusioned. They prided themselves on producing high quality, reliable code. But as they moved from contract to contract they felt it just wasn't enough. In too many of their contracts they saw the same kinds of challenges and felt unable to make a difference. • Old unloved software which is hard to change • Poor communication between the business and developers leading to misunderstandings • Over-engineered, over-complex solutions which are fragile and unreliable And so they put their heads together to try to do something about it. A few months later Elastic Mint was born. We believed we could help fix some of these problems by working together in a small team. In fact we believed that small nimble teams of experienced developers are often more effective than large bloated teams. Since then we have worked with customers like Preqin, Microsoft Research and PEI Group. We worked with Preqin for about 5 1/2 years and received a plaque thanking us for our work. We're proud of that, and of the difference we have made to all our customers. At its heart the way we work is simple • Listen to what our customers are trying to do • Understand their goals by asking questions • And only after that do we start to Solve their problems Talk to us about the following • Building a POC • Modernising legacy bespoke software • Boosting your team with some experienced developers • Rescuing a project that's not worked out how you hoped • Reviewing your current software • Fractional CTO
