EOPA is committed to solving the climate crisis, ensuring environmental justice, and protecting our lands and waters. EOPA is the only national organization mobilizing veterans who are lawmakers on the environment. We educate through value-based storytelling, training lawmakers, and connecting elected officials to inspire strong environmental leadership. Federally we helped pass the Land and Water Conservation Fund that protects over 40,000 monuments and parks across the nation. Locally we organized over 1,000 lawmakers in New York to ban fracking. EOPA is committed to advancing a Federal Climate Emergency Plan and policies that build a resilient, equitable clean energy-based economy, protect against racial and environmental injustice, as well as preserve our nation's public lands and waters, and promote international action on the climate.
