The foundation will do this alongside its partners and stakeholders, who are among the most successful, innovative and influential actors in the global Electric Vehicle (EV) community. Rune Haaland founded the EVU September 2011. EVU is a global movement with dedicated and innovative business actors, enthusiasts, EV associations, NGOs and other stakeholders with a mission to electrify mobility with clean and renewable energy. EVU is undergoing a process to be registered as a EU based association, situated in Brussels, to streamline communication with the upper echelon of political power in Europe. The foundation also consists of a network of ambassadors and connections in multiple countries. EVU is registered as a non-profit foundation in Norway with an external Board of Directors, Mr. Knut Eide and Børre Hannisdal. The Directors operate in close cooperation with Lester Brown and Earth Policy Institute in Washington.
