The Electrical Contractors Association of New Brunswick (ECANB) was founded in 1964 to serve & represent the interests of the Electrical Industry. The ECANB represents unionized electrical contractor and line contractor members across the province. ECANB's mission is to promote the welfare of member contractors through collective action on matters of common concern. The Association’s principal areas of action are: >EDUCATION, including expansion and improvement of training opportunities for workers in the electrical trade and administration of training trust funds for members’ management employees. >INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, including negotiation and administration of collective agreements between unionized member contractors and their unionized employees and coordination of fringe benefit plans for members’ management employees. >INDUSTRY RELATIONS, including participation in local, provincial, and national bodies created to advance the interests of electrical contractors and the construction industry as a whole. >GOVERNMENT RELATIONS, including lobbying municipal, provincial, and federal officials for legislative and policy changes beneficial to the electrical trade and member contractors.
