About Electro Aço Altona
ELECTRO AÇO ALTONA S.A., founded on March 8, 1924 as a small foundry and mechanical repair office, was initially named Auerbach & Werner, from the union of their owners’ names. The company grew and incorporated steel in 1933, changing its name to Electro Aço Altona. In this way, the first steel foundry of Santa Catarina and one of the first in Brazil started. Working and innovating every time more, Altona has been continuously growing in partnership with new markets in permanent development.
