About Electronic Game Developer Society (EGaDS)

The Electronic Game Developer Society at Austin (EGaDS) is a student organization at the University of Texas at Austin. We are a community that fosters communication, passion, and teamwork with fellow developers by hosting various events during the school year. We strive to introduce curious students to the world of game design, connect and share professional tips about the industry, and to promote game development as a whole to the broader public. We host several events throughout the year: - Unity and Art Workshops: teaching programming and art skills - Speaker Nights: we invite guest speakers from companies like Unity, Sony, Blizzard, etc. to share their experience in the game industry - Game Sprouts: a great opportunity to develop your portfolio by building a game based off of the theme of the month - Dev Nights & Socials: where you can chat and share about personal game dev experiences - Game Jams: we host multiple jams over the year!
