ELEMENTAL Architectural and Building Science Solutions (ELEMENTAL) has been providing architectural, interior design, landscape design, building envelope and roof consulting services to our institutional clients since opening our firm in 2009. Over the years, our client base has grown to include several institutional clients, including Metro Vancouver Housing Corporation, Cities of Burnaby, Richmond, Port Moody, Langley, Vancouver, Delta, Nanaimo, Pitt Meadows, Capilano University, and Vancouver Community College. Over the past 11 years in business, ELEMENTAL has completed projects with a construction cost range of $250,000 to $8.8 Million. Terra Shimbashi, owner of ELEMENTAL has expertise in sustainable architectural design, building science, roofing, building code, and interior design. As a LEED certified Architect, she has the skills and experience to design durable and sustainable buildings with exterior envelopes that will withstand the ever-increasing forces in this era of climate change. ELEMENTAL has worked with the City of Richmond since 2020. Richmond Ice Centre, Richmond Works yard and Richmond City Hall- Infrastructure Renewals are just two examples of projects for the City of Richmond. ELEMENTAL has a long-standing and positive working relationship with the City of Richmond in the facilities management, building and planning departments. We are currently working on the Works yard project and Richmond City Hall- Infrastructure Renewals with City of Richmond.
