Elklan provides effective & accessible training to ensure everyone in a child’s network can support the development of their speech & communication👇 Over 3,500 Speech and Language Professionals have trained as Elklan Tutors to deliver Elklan courses. Over 80,000 practitioners have completed an Elklan course to support children and young people. What Elklan does is unique. We're the only organisation offering a choice of accredited online courses and local face-to-face courses tailored for different professional roles and child age groups. Elklan trains practitioners and parents to use practical evidence based strategies which help children with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). They will also help ALL children learn as language is fundamental to learning and thinking. The new Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) code of practice in England now expects teachers to be responsible for every child’s learning in the classroom and this now includes communication! Developed from the most current research Elklan training supports staff to meet these demands as well as those posed by Ofsted inspections.
