About ELSA Estonia
The European Law Students' Association (ELSA) is the world's largest international, independent, non-political and non-profit organization for and by law students. ELSA is represented at nearly 432 faculties in 43 countries and consists of nearly 60,000 members. ELSA was founded in Vienna, Austria, on May 4th, 1981. ELSA’s mission is to contribute to legal education and to improve understanding and international cooperation between law students. ELSA provides their members to take a look outside their domestic interests of law and to be part of a large legal community to ensure that their legal skills will come to a best practice. ELSA provides for example internships abroad, Moot Court Competitions at the European Court of Human Rights and the International Trade Law Organisation, a place in the Legal Research Group in cooperation with the Council of Europe, Summer and Winter Law Schools, Study Visits, Institutional Visits and loads of local academic activities, seminars and conferences. The patron of ELSA Estonia is the Estonian Chancellor of Justice, Ülle Madise.
