About Elstree School
Elstree School is a day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 3-13 in Woolhampton, Berkshire. Set in idyllic grounds of 150 acres, an hour from west London, Elstree offers a secure environment for pupils to be nurtured and inspired. Proud of its reputation as a school with high academic, creative and sporting achievements, pupils from Elstree have gained places to some of the top senior schools, including Bradfield, Radley College, Eton College, Marlborough College, Stowe, Wellington and Winchester. Forty-five scholarships and exhibitions have been awarded to Elstree pupils since 2015. While success is something celebrated, Elstree also encourages pupils to be open, compassionate and tolerant of others. Through enrichment programmes and an outstanding array of extra curriculum activities, Elstree provides an environment where both girls and boys can develop the skills necessary to thrive in today’s world. Elstree is large enough to accommodate its own Nursery and Pre-Prep, two state of the art Science laboratories, new Music School, full size all-weather pitch, outdoor pool, forest for outdoor learning and camping, and a lake for kayaking, yet with an intake of around 240, is small enough to remain personal and family-focused. A weekly London bus collects from Earls Court and Hammersmith on Monday mornings. Daily buses run from Basingstoke and West Reading, with intermittent buses from Brightwalton and Hungerford.
