Embar is the Associação Nacional de Recuperação e Reciclagem de Resíduos de Embalagens de Madeira - National Association for Recovering and Recycling of Wood Packaging Waste. Embar was created on the 1st of September 1998 and, according to the Portuguese Civil Code, Embar is a non-profit association, and of which can be members any entity singular or collective, national or foreigner, operating with wood packaging. Embar operates to promote the recycling of wood packaging, and to assure the recovery and valuation of all wood packaging waste recovered within “Sistema Ponto Verde” - Green Dot System. Embar also represents and defends the interests of all companies producing, recovering and/or recycling wood packaging.
