Het Euro-Mediterraan Centrum Migratie & Ontwikkeling is sinds 1998 actief als onafhankelijke en seculiere mensenrechtenorganisatie. EMCEMO is een vrijwilligersorganisatie die voortkomt uit het Komitee Marokkaanse Arbeiders Nederland (KMAN).
