About Emerald City Trapeze Arts

Located just south of downtown Seattle, Emerald City Trapeze is housed in the former Canal Boiler Works building in SODO. Rustic charm shines through in its wood-beam construction and funky décor, but the real magic is up in the air. Featuring a unique indoor flying trapeze rig, a theatrical performance stage, and a stunning studio space, Emerald City Trapeze students and guests enjoy nearly 20,000 square feet of vibrant, historic space in which to learn circus and acrobatic arts from world-class instructors, hold fabulous private events, and enjoy amazing seasonal shows. Flying trapeze classes for all levels (including complete beginners!) for ages 6+ are ongoing! In 2023, SANCA (School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts) took over operations at Emerald City Trapeze Arts to keep the community rich with opportunities for artistic creation and cultural experiences at this incredible venue. SANCA (School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts) is one of the nation’s largest circus schools and a nonprofit dedicated to enriching our community through access to circus classes and performances.
