About Emerson Cheerleading

The Emerson College Cheerleading Squad was formed back in 2009 by Emerson alumnus Brittany Perro and Kayla Harrity. While the squad has gone through numerous changes in the past 14 years, one thing has always remained the same: the Passion. The members of the Cheer Squad, past and present have all shared a passion for sports, for performing and for community. As a group, the Squad focuses on personal and communal development through involvement on campus. We cheer and perform at games for as many sports as we can; including but not limited to: Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, and Lacrosse. We want to support all our athletes and we seek to bridge the gap between athletics and the rest of the Emerson Community and hope to foster community engagement from all students, both on and off campus. As a partner with the Athletics Department we strive to represent the school and our sports teams with poise and sportsmanship. We wear our uniforms with pride and understand the magnitude of our position as morale boosters and spirit builders. As an SGA recognized organization we put our best foot forward to be an all-inclusive group that celebrates the diversity in our membership. We are a group that welcomes (and encourages) people of all genders, races, and orientations to join in on the fun and make an impact as leaders on Emerson's campus. The Emerson Cheer Squad is more than a team, it is a family. Our team is home for those with the drive, dedication, and passion for one another and our sport.
