About Emirates Fire & Rescue Company
Emirates Fire and Rescue Company - EFRC - today is a wholly governmental-owned company operating the Technical Rescue and Quick Intervention Units of Abu Dhabi Police GHQ - QI - in the Emirates of Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah. From 13 Fire Stations throughout these Emirates our European, Turkish and Jordanian Firefighters jointly with our indigenous colleagues provide help for the victims of fires, road-traffic-accidents, chemical spills and other emergencies wherever and whenever needed. This help will be called upon about 3500 times this year including all major incidents. Our firefighter’s presence guaranties the safety and security of participants and the public at a host of national and international events throughout the UAE. During the last 7 years our staff successfully trained more than 2000 firefighters in the German Fire Fighting System. The trainees are coming from the Quick Intervention, the Civil Defence, the Police, the Armed Forces and various other public authorities and private enterprises. Providing Fire Safety Advice to any UAE authority and business where the scope or importance of any particular project so desire is another major service delivered by EFRC. Essential Mission Information is prepared, presented and updated by our GIS-Team for use in Fire Service, Civil Defence and Police operations, our Escape and Rescue Plans are found in many public buildings.
