About us The Emirates Society for Rheumatology (ESR) is a member of the Emirates Medical Association and works tirelessly to improve the standard and quality of Rheumatology care in the UAE. ESR achieves its goals by collaborating with all healthcare providers and has established a network of rheumatologists throughout the UAE. ESR promotes a high educational standard by holding regular high-quality educational events independently, and in collaboration with the major international rheumatology societies. ESR works relentlessly to collaborate with governmental departments to facilitate the implementation of best practices in rheumatology guidelines and recommendations. ESR advocates the training and development of allied healthcare professionals in rheumatology. Mission Rheumatoid arthritis and other connective tissue diseases are a leading causes of disability around the world. Through better management of these conditions by Rheumatologists, Orthopedic doctors, Family doctors, and Internists the burden of these diseases will be reduced for patients and their families.
