Showcasing the gift of food! I specialise in the photography of food, cooking and dining venues. From raw ingredients to the finished dish, with all the magic in between. I have to admit, I get really excited about photographing food! Not simply for the potential of being able to taste it afterwards (which is the icing on the cake - pardon the pun) but because the process is just like magic... You start with beautiful raw ingredients. Then some amazing magician chef comes along and starts making potions with steam and splashes and sprinkles and dust..... et voila! you have a delicious finished product ready to style and make look even more stunning. I get blown away by the process every time, and am in awe of those chefs that put their heart and soul into creating such works of art, to make other people experience something special. What a gift they give us. There is so much about it that is emotive about food for us all, and there is such a huge amount creativity and love put into it giving us this gift by chefs and bakers across the country.
