Established in 2002 and based in Northern California, emma gardner design, llc is one of the leading American rug and surface design houses, carried in showrooms around the country and internationally. Our core business is made-to-order area rugs. We offer the highest level of service and are able to work within a range of budgets. We work closely with designers and clients, directly and through our showrooms, to customize the size, shape, color and design of existing designs as well as creating original designs for specific spaces, both residential and hospitality. Our Tibetan rugs are heirloom quality, made of hand-carded, hand-spun and pot-dyed Himalayan wool and Chinese silk and are designed by Emma Gardner, who works in a wide range of design vernaculars. COLLABORATIONS Always open to new partnerships, we love working collaboratively, expanding our knowledge of manufacturing methods and thrilling to the challenge of learning the new possibilities and parameters of an unfamiliar medium. We have select licenses for the manufacture and distribution of other products including hand-tufted rugs, pillows, throws, fabric, broadloom and — currently in production — cement tiles and mosaics for residential and hospitality use.
