About Emmett Till Legacy Foundation
EMMETT TILL LEGACY FOUNDATION (ETLF) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded by legacy family members of Emmett Till and Mamie Till Mobley to preserve the memory and legacy of Emmett Louis Till (who at 14 years old was brutally beaten, shot, lynched, and discarded like trash with a 75 lb cotton gin fan tied around his neck with barbed wire and thrown in the black Bayou in the Delta area of Mississippi) and his mother Mamie Till Mobley. Through E-TILL Emmett Till Institute for Learning and Leadership, we are"Creating a Legacy of Hope" and "Building a Bridge from the Past to the Present and Future", by bringing awareness to Emmett's place in history and relevance today, offering scholarships, programs, curriculum, opportunities & support that equip, educate, engage, empower and inspire youth, women and their families to achieve their fullest potential for a better tomorrow.
