About Empower With Literacy

Empower with Literacy (EWL) is an international, student equity- based nonprofit committed to advancing global literacy rates by equipping underprivileged children with essential educational tools and opportunities. Founded and expanded into an international nonprofit with 10 youth leaders and 2 active chapters across the U.S., EWL drives its mission through four core programs - EWL Literacy Packages, EWL Campaign for Kids, EWL Workshops & Webinars, and EWL Student Blogs - providing direct support to students in 3 different countries. EWL has donated over $2,000+ worth of books, school supplies, and uniform items, as well as teaching financial literacy to 270+ women in Pakistan. Through 4 partnerships, we’ve amplified educational access while forging collaborations with nonprofits, businesses, and collegiate clubs including USC, UCLA, OneGeneration, Human Appeals, and more. EWL’s social media campaigns have reached 30,100+ people in 13 countries, raising global awareness of educational literacy and its power to transform lives. Guided by the belief that education is the foundation for empowerment, we continue to expand internationally - building a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
