About EMPWRMNT
Challenging the idea of clothing we create upcycled handcrafted pieces of wearable art, deconstructing and reconstructing pieces- each unique to its owner. We source used denim garments to use as our base fabric for all of our pieces. To celebrate slow fashion, sustainability and to reduce wastage, we create non-seasonal collections where all pieces are made to order. Our long term goal is to create a recognisable brand that becomes synonymous with supporting movements for social and environmental issues across the globe. We are currently working on a capsule handbag collection true to brand using up-cycled denim and our exciting upcoming project will be based in Beirut, Lebanon. We have found a wonderful studio in the heart of a refugee camp in Beirut run by artisan refugee women. Our aim for this project is to create a documentary to help empower them by celebrating and sharing their craft with the world.
