About ENCORD

ENCORD is a forum for all industry stakeholders whose main business lies in the construction sector. Founded in 1989 ENCORD has become a major network in the construction sector. Our members are leading companies and suppliers with a business focus on Europe. Representatives of the companies are decision-makers and executives working on Research, Development and Innovation. ENCORD’s mission to promote industry-led research, development and innovation in the construction sector has gained importance for all its players that are shaping the built environment. They are now facing tremendous challenges due to the digital transformation, shortage of skilled labour, increasing resource scarcity and climate change mitigation – to name a few – and thus need to reinvent themselves. Our aim to engage companies from up- and downstream of the construction value chain in collaborative development efforts helps our members to address challenges that extend beyond one’s individual capabilities and resources. Five dedicated working groups (Digital Built Environment, Foresight, Health & Safety, LEAN and Sustainability) jointly addressing pressing topics, allow us to drive advancements in our sector. ENCORD's motto is “We unite to innovate.” Key activities within ENCORD are: - Sharing Knowledge: ENCORD facilitates exchange of experience and best practice. - Providing Information: ENCORD delivers inputs for future strategic decision making. - Setting Priorities: ENCORD influences R&D agendas of corporates and authorities. Connecting the participants of our member organisations as well as external partners via our LinkedIn site allows us to share and discuss common interests, spur integrative research and harness the collective power of the wider community.
