About End Community Violence Now
End Community Violence Now (ECVN) is a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit and public-private partnership that operates like a statewide community-based Office of Violence Prevention, working towards community violence reduction. Its mission is to grow a unified gun violence reduction ecosystem that breaks the cycle of violence and fosters safe communities in Delaware. In support of that mission, ECVN will coordinate investments, programs, initiatives, and actions, and align stakeholders with shared accountability of Delaware’s community violence reduction ecosystem, seeking to ensure that community violence intervention (CVI) action across the state is organized, synchronized, and sustainably funded for the long-term. End Community Violence Now will also work closely with advocacy groups who work to prevent gun violence on the national level, influence policy in Delaware and nationwide, and inform Delawareans about the best practices in the intervention and prevention of community gun violence.
