About Energy Gym

Energy Gym is one of Edinburgh's oldest independent gyms, operating for over 15 years in Edinburgh's Southside. We are also home to CrossFit Skirmish, Edinburgh's best CrossFit Box so we have all you need for fitness under one roof. We are a not-for-profit community enterprise, which means any profit reinvested into new equipment or delivering CrossFit youth training in local schools. Although small, we are perfectly formed with a well equipped gym with all you could need - cardio suite, cybex weights machines, free weights, barbells, prowlers, chains, ropes, rigs, ergs (ski, row, bike), assault bikes and even pre-bookable pods which are private weight training areas to workout. We also run classes called C2 - these use concept 2 cardio equipment and weights for effective metcon training. In addition to general gym, Energy Gym is also home to a fantastic team of personal trainers with a broad variety of skills and experience - so no matter what your training goals are, we can help. Our CrossFit Box, CrossFit Skirmish is second to none. Our coaching team is led by Sasha Voronov, an ex karate and MMA athlete with CrossFit and Olympic Weightlifting qualifications. We are also lucky to work with our other coaches who boast a raft of sports and athletic qualifications too so you know you are in safe hands. Obviously we offer CrossFit beginner training and general classes, but we also have specialist gymnastics, barbell and pliability classes. As if that isn't enough, we also provide competition training and preparation as part of the membership too. The best thing about Energy Gym and CrossFit Skirmish is our members. As we are a small community gym we work with a broad range of people who really do encompass all ages, fitness levels, backgrounds and capabilities. Anyone and everyone is welcome, beginner or athlete. We believe that everyone should enjoy fitness and live well for longer as a result.
