About Energy Savings Industry Association
The Energy Savings Industry Association is Australia's peak national industry body representing and self-regulating businesses that are accredited to create and trade energy efficiency certificates and participate in energy savings schemes across Australia including the Victorian Energy Upgrades Program, NSW Energy Savings Scheme and Peak Demand Reduction Scheme, SA Retailer Energy Productivity Scheme, ACT Energy Efficiency Improvement Scheme and the national Emissions Reduction Fund Carbon Farming Initiative Energy Efficiency Methods with ACCUs. Energy savings schemes facilitate the installation of energy efficient products and services to households and businesses by providing upfront financial incentives based on calculated energy savings. These schemes are one of the most successful mechanisms for delivering energy savings at lowest cost greenhouse gas abatement. The ESIA advocates for certificate-based energy savings schemes across Australia: for annual target increases, for more energy savings activities to be included and for extension beyond current end dates. The ESIA engages with governments and regulators and other key stakeholders to enhance the schemes. ESIA member companies represent the majority of certificate creation within the schemes and energy savings industry market leaders. New members are welcome including certificate creators, product suppliers and other service providers.
