About Energy Voltus

Energy Voltus is a company founded in August 2023 and acts as the virtual power plant (VPP) developer, owner, and operator. The backbone of the VPP are flexible assets in the form of (primarily own) grid-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS). Besides grid-scaled/front-the-meter BESS, the company is active in developing behind-the-meter projects where we are offering various types of implementation models to customers, i.e. Battery-as-additional-source-of-income (BaaSoI) or solar PV + BESS through on-site Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The company's mission is to facilitate the faster integration of renewable energy sources into the grid (by building flexible assets/BESS portfolio) and to decentralize the traditional electricity supply system whereby each end customer, a member of the Energy Voltus VPP, can receive a 100% green electricity with granular Guarantees of origin (GoO) stamp. Customer portfolio, demand side, will be built organically in relation to secured green electricity (supply side)- through our own renewable energy production units and cPPA contracts. Day-ahead and intra-day volatility will be covered through trading on the electricity market while utilizing BESS assets. Energy Voltus VPP is powered by an advanced software solution, developed, and continuously improved in-house. The software is utilizing the data which is collected in real-time from all VPP connected IoT units (consumption/production/flexibility) and, through machine learning and AI algorithms, produces the decisions which benefits the VPP members the most.
