Engenuity Technologies is an innovation company, developing and supplying technological solutions into the renewable energy sector. The Engenuity Technologies Maestro acts as an Energy Management System (EMS) for Embedded Networks (EN) that integrates and controls all hybrid generation, as well as battery storage elements on site, optimising production and consumption in harmony. This utilises either existing fibre or other communications networks on site or can also be implemented via wireless networks. The Maestro achieves the supply authority requirements for secondary grid protection, power quality management and export control. The Maestro also provides the additional benefits of: • Lower install cost and capital used optimally • Maximise profit per kW of installed capacity • Maximise uptime by avoidance of oscillating on/off protection events • Flexible and scalable to varying site requirements • Optimise storage and use of energy in site battery systems • Allow participation in FCAS and other energy trading • Integrates site metering data with production and storage to provide a complete dataset for viewing on dashboard or export • Is ‘agnostic’ in terms of the inverter, BMS and other hardware that is integrated with the system The Maestro has been installed, successfully protecting and controlling, embedded networks across all states on the Australian Eastern Seaboard.
