About Engineered Metals & Composites
Engineering Metals and Composites, Inc. is the premier OEM manufacturer of aluminum towers and small products for the marine industry. From T-tops, hardtops and towers, to rod holders, leaning posts, rails and poling platforms, we provide the highest quality enhancements and accessories for fishing and pleasure boats. Our skilled craftsmen design, shape and assemble aluminum fixtures that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also structurally superior—and built to weather the harsh elements of wind and water. By maximizing efficiency and utilizing the latest technologies, we offer products at costs that competitors simply cannot match. That’s why some of the biggest names in the boating industry rely on us—companies who trust our commitment to exceptional quality and to maintaining the unique look of their product line. It’s that uniqueness which sets us apart from the competition. Computerized equipment and revolutionary manufacturing techniques allow us to create designs exclusive to EM&C—designs exclusive to you. That’s why we are the leader in the marine manufacturing industry. EMC founder Edward Forbes has established himself and his company as a leader in the marine manufacturing industry. Over the past decade, he has worked with companies across the country refining processes, improving methodology and building prototypes. During that time, he began to develop a vision of how new technologies could impact manufacturing techniques. Through EM&C, Forbes has been able to watch his vision evolve into reality. In just two years, EM&C has grown from an upstart OEM manufacturer to one of the largest and most respected in the country. The company has expanded its 40,000 square foot plant in Columbia, SC, to include a separate 15,000 square foot facility, making room for the equipment built especially for EM&C’s high-tech design needs.
