About Ennerdale Brewery

Founded in 2010, we started off brewing with only 10 casks and big dreams to grow. Fast forward to 2016 and here we are supplying a selection of casked and bottled ales to hundreds of happy customers. In our expansion, we now also run our very own cafe called the Brewery Tap, which serves fresh and delicious meals throughout the week using locally sourced ingredients! We pride ourselves on brewing a selection of great ales, which are loved by all of our customers. On top of this, we are proud to say that all of our ales are made with only four ingredients - water, malt, hops and yeast. It’s very important to us that our beers are brewed using ingredients which are as fresh and natural as possible. Our water is naturally pure and soft from the valley of Ennerdale and we use only the finest malts, which are freshly kiln-dried and milled especially for us. Our flavoursome hops are whole-leaf, dried hops and we harvest our yeast (one of the longest established English Ale Yeasts) from each fermentation to use in the next brew, maintaining those distinctive flavours. Pure natural goodness! We have a great, friendly team in the Brewery and the Brewery Tap who will tell you all about our ales and make you feel right at home!
