About Environmental Efficiency
Our mission is to help improve our clients’ environmental performance in cost effective and practical ways and as a result build a long term relationship. Environmental Efficiency was founded by two experienced Chartered Engineers. Engineers are natural problem solvers and this, coupled with the expertise of our environmental consultants, enables us to offer solutions to problems that are cost effective and practical. This engineering experience differentiates us from other environmental consultancies. Two examples of this approach are given below. 1. A manufacturer of agricultural equipment was washing parts with detergent prior to spray painting. The wash water was being discharged to surface water in breach of legislation. Environmental Efficiency suggested redirecting the waste water to the wet back spray booths which solved the problem. 2. A distiller was recieving complaints about noise from neighbours and had spent a considerable sum of money building screens and insulating equipment. The modifications were not effective and complaints were still being received. Environmental Efficiency were then called in. We created a noise prediction model. The effect of reducing the noise level of each piece was determined along with the cost. A minimum cost solution was found that merely involved turning a condenser around by 180 degrees. This involved breaking a few pumping connections and one day's crane hire, a fraction of the cost of the previous modifications. We offer a wide range of environmental services to industry and the commercial sector including air, noise and water monitoring, energy audits and water minimisation, bund and pipeline testing, modelling of emissions, IPPC and Waste Licence application, ELRAs and CRAMPS, training plus Environmental Management System implementation
