We are passionate about our relationship with the natural environment. We believe that we can continually raise the bar and lead the way toward a more sustainable future for our community. Even when faced with challenges, we manage to spark strong collaborations that thrive. Problem solving is fun for us. Technology, and the way we present information, is one of our greatest tools and we’re not ashamed to admit that we like to geek out on it. Environmental Innovations specializes in inspiring businesses and the public to participate in reuse, conservation, and pollution prevention. Environmental Innovations meets the needs of businesses, local governments, and nonprofits throughout California, who want assistance in sustainability planning, regulatory compliance, and Green Business Program development. Environmental Innovations acts as staff to the CA Green Business Network (greenbusinessca.org). We foster the development of new programs and provide training to Green Business Program Coordinators. We also operate and maintain a complex but user friendly web-based database that is now used nationally by six other states. We also do centralized marketing and business development for each program. Funding efforts have netted more than $3 million in the past three years. Green Business standards cover a range of environmental issues, such as waste minimization, energy efficiency, water conservation, and pollution prevention. More than 4,000 businesses have been assisted and recognized in California.
