Las bases teóricas de nuestro proyecto están sustentadas por las corrientes críticas y comprensivas de las Ciencias Sociales. Entre los diferentes métodos empleados, destacamos el genealógico porque permite entender los procesos sociohistóricos que han posibilitado y dan forma a los diferentes fenómenos de estudio y la etnografía que nos posibilita dar cuenta de la realidad social en que viven los actores protagonistas de nuestros trabajos. Conocer profundamente los procesos y los colectivos deviene capital para intervenir y mejorar sus condiciones de vida y cohesión social. Comprender el devenir histórico en la construcción de la realidad social es capital si queremos entenderla y transformarla. En esta línea, nuestra filosofía de trabajo incorpora la perspectiva de género, el análisis del discurso, el estudio de los procesos de hegemonía- subalternidad y normalidad-anormalidad, los procesos comunitarios, las dinámicas de estigmatización y el análisis de los factores contextuales.
