Since 1988, the year Jeff Johnson, CEO, entered the industry, his passion has been building successful independent oil and gas companies, the last in 2004 was Cano Petroleum. Under Jeff’s leadership as Chairman and CEO, production grew from four barrels per day to approximately 2,000 creating a $600,000,000 peak enterprise value in 2008. During Jeff’s tenure Cano became a member of the Russell 3,000 as a NYSE/AMEX listed company. After guiding the company through the 2008/2009 financial crises, Jeff left in 2011 to spend more time with his family. Jeff is excited about the launch of EPUS Energy and believes 2016 will create a generational opportunity to acquire oil assets. As Jeff puts it: “In 2016 I believe oil will be a great opportunity for timely investments, effectively being able to buy Madison/5th Avenue real estate at Newark New Jersey prices.”
