About EQUIANO - Equine-assisted insights
Equiano delivers unique, neuroscience-led experiential learning for individuals and teams to build leadership and teamwork skills by working in partnership with horses. Using specially trained horses to facilitate hands-on learning and insights through our evidence-based workshops, we help clients develop 'human literacy' and leadership skills essential for high performance teams. Our intimate workshops offer something special. In a safe and supportive setting – where the country air and our majestic horses enable connection with nature – participants can focus on some of the most challenging skills and aptitudes demanded by today’s workplaces. With no horse-riding involved, all activities are ‘on the ground’ and fully supervised. The Equiano experience is designed for people who have little or no prior experience with horses, as well as inclusive of those who are more confident. Equine Experiential Learning (EEL) - also known as Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL)- is a research-based methodology that offers safe experiences with specially trained horses for social/emotional skill-building in professional contexts. From a compelling base of theory and practice from Stanford University and other leading centres, interest in this field has grown enormously in recent years. Leaning into this evidence, Equiano has created immersive, learning experiences through our workshops that are sensory, emotionally engaging and promote the creation of unique “aha moments”. (PLEASE NOTE: our workshops do not focus on equine therapy and we do not provide therapeutic services.) Equiano runs full-day workshops for groups of up to 20 people. We work with teams of all levels of seniority, including C-suites and boards. All of our workshops are designed to be safe and welcoming for people who have no experience with horses. Equiano is a part of the Rainbird Group, an experiential learning hub providing services for corporates and teams.
