Equilibrium Health was established in 2007 and provides clinical Psychological services that are evidence-based and person-centred. Individual therapy is at the core of our work and is complemented by family and parent therapies. Our clients come from a range of life stages and include children, adolescents and adults. We pride ourselves in working with individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds and identities. Since a person’s experiences may not be defined by any single set of words, we believe in using a dynamic and collaborative process to find the appropriate therapeutic approach grounded in clinical evidence. Our team of male & female registered Psychologists work primarily with patients presenting under a Medicare Care Plan (MHCP) - fully Bulk Billed without a financial gap payment. We also receive referrals under the guise of WorkCover & Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). Our treatment catchment area has widened over our years of operation to include south east Queensland and Northern New South Wales Equilibrium Health has a comprehensive resource & test library, for both Psychologist & patient access. Australian Psychological Society (APS) & Australian Health Regulation Authority (AHPRA) sanctioned Professional Development is conducted on a weekly basis with the team of Psychologists, with Emma Howard Principal Psychologist as group facilitator. Equilibrium Health's ethos is to be warm and inviting for individuals to seek treatment to change their thinking styles. The team of Psychologists are selected to espouse a manner which is down to earth with a practical approach to their Psychological intervention, with a strong focus on maintaining a work/life balance & overall sound body & mind management. Patients of Equilibrium Health can access Psychological treatment both face to face at the practice location & via telehealth.
