Equus Industries Ltd commenced over 40 years ago as a manufacturer of specialist coating systems for commercial buildings. This still remains the main thrust of the operation, with additional complementary products introduced, to encompass a full range of coating and waterproofing materials for all types of construction. We market a wide range of high build waterproof finishes, textured and protective coatings under the brand names Chevaline, Traxx, Protexx, Thermexx and Equus. Our expertise is particularly in the areas of high build acrylic coatings and membranes, waterborne epoxies and high solids one or two component urethane coatings. Equus has become probably the leading Australasian manufacturer in the area of liquid-applied acrylic roofing membranes, and single-component moisture-cure urethane coatings. The Company has established very close relationships with its principal raw material suppliers in these fields, and operates in the forefront of technology in these areas. Our prime objective has been to place the company in the position of being able to supply all finishes and waterproofing materials required to protect buildings from sub-basement to roof levels. Where the technology or manufacturing requirements are outside of our standard capabilities, we have secured distribution arrangements for appropriate products from leading international manufacturers in the respective fields. Our offices are in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, and our manufacturing facility is based in Blenheim. Equus has the ability to provide service throughout New Zealand and provide technical solutions for Architects, Engineers, Property Managers and Contractors in the building industry.
