About Ercle Architecture

Ercle is a design lead architecture practice based in Plymouth. We are a young and dynamic practice that prides itself in providing bespoke solutions for each and every project. We start our process by asking 'What If?' and challenge ourselves to find new and unique solutions for each site. As a young practice we embrace technology and are constantly striving to be at the forefront of new technological developments. As part of this strategy we work in BIM (Building Information Modeling). This drawing package allows us to visualise each project in three dimensions from the very start of the conceptual process. This ensures we understand how our proposal sits within its context and exploits all of the potential opportunities a site can provide. Once we unlock the possibilities of a site, we are then able to further develop our three dimensional models into construction documentation. This means, we can build the building in virtual reality, and ensure that there are no surprises on site. This reduces risk, delays on site and in turn reduces cost. You will see from our work that we specialise in housing. This includes house extensions, one off houses, conversions of existing buildings as well as the development of housing estates. We enjoy working on difficult and unusual sites and have a track record of successful projects in conservation areas and working with listed buildings. Housing, and housing need is something that is at the forefront of the UK construction industry. The UK as a country, is not building enough housing; and the housing we are building is often not of a high enough standard. We at Ercle challenge ourselves to be part of the solution and to design and deliver high quality housing.
