About Escape Artists

Escape Artists vision is of creativity and learning as integral tools for building sustainable wellbeing. We are a charity working across sectors and art forms. We provide practical opportunities, through accredited arts courses, for homeless people, mental health service users, ex-offenders, prisoners, and young people at risk, to redefine personal and societal worth as well as achieve their ambitions. Building on our successful track record in this area, we have created an exciting and timely new project: The Benethics System - a universally accessible system for the development of assessable wellbeing that transforms our way of giving: https://prezi.com/secure/5d669e5df0f8cd82771cc8164f65b417dcbf9381/ Developed from over 14 years of working with marginalised groups, our cohesive framework draws on research from disciplines as diverse as philosophy, sociology, psychology and neuroscience, as well as innovative social technology, to create an iterative understanding of wellbeing. Much compelling recent research provides clear evidence of a direct link between empathy, altruism, lifelong learning and playfulness. These are all vital elements in increasing wellbeing, and they are the essential components of our system.
